Is Sociano legit?
Yes. Here's exactly how it works — no hacks, no jailbreaks.
A fair question to ask of any app that promises to change how social media feels. So instead of asking for trust, here's the whole mechanism, the business model, and the honest caveats — in one place.
No tricks. Just a calmer way in.
Controlled web views
Sociano opens each platform as a controlled web experience inside the app, with per-platform rules that hide Reels, Shorts, Explore, and the infinite feeds. You use the same platform you always did — minus the surfaces built to keep you scrolling.
Apple's Screen Time, optionally
If you want the native apps blocked too, Sociano uses Apple's own Screen Time APIs — the official system Apple built for exactly this. You grant the permission through Apple's screens, and you can revoke it there anytime.
Nothing gets modified
Sociano never modifies other apps, injects code into them, or touches their data. There's nothing to jailbreak and nothing that violates how iPhones are supposed to work — which is why it's on the App Store at all.
Four things you can verify yourself.
On the App Store
Sociano is distributed exclusively through Apple's App Store. Every update goes through Apple's review before anyone can install it. There's no sideloading, no configuration profile, no "trust this developer" step.
Your passwords stay with the platforms
You sign in on each platform's official login page — the same one you'd see in Safari. Sociano never sees or stores your passwords, and you can revoke a session from the platform's own security settings whenever you like.
No ads, no data sale
Sociano is funded by an optional subscription, billed through the App Store. That's the whole business model — it answers to the people who pay for it, not to advertisers. There's no incentive to profile you, so it doesn't.
Built by a real person
Sociano is built by one independent developer with a name and an inbox — not a growth team optimizing for engagement. If you want the person behind it, that story is public: read our story →
Legit doesn't mean perfect.
Web versions of some platforms lack a few native-only features, platforms sometimes change their sites and briefly break a rule, and Sociano is iPhone-only today. A trustworthy tool should tell you that before you download it, not after.
