Terms of Service

The deal, kept short.

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Sociano app, website, and related services. By using Sociano, you agree to them — so we’ve structured them to be read, not skimmed past.

Effective April 19, 2026 · Updated July 9, 2026

Using Sociano

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sociano app, website, and related services (“Sociano”). Sociano is provided by:

  • Name: Jan Macura
  • Address: Spojna 617/1, Havirov, Czech Republic
  • Contact email: contact@sociano.app
  • Business registration: self-employed natural person (Czech sole proprietor, OSVČ) under Czech law
  • Business ID (IČO): 29561825

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sociano for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple terms and applicable law. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

Sociano helps you use supported social platforms with configurable controls, insights, and optional premium subscription features. It may include in-app browsing of third-party platforms. Those third-party services are not controlled by us and remain subject to their own terms and policies.

Our website may include optional forms such as an Android waitlist. By submitting these forms, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and may be used for relevant launch and service communications.

Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Sociano.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account, and for activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information where required.

Sociano Pro subscriptions

Billing through Apple

Sociano Pro subscriptions are purchased through your Apple App Store account. Apple is the merchant of record for in-app purchases.

Auto-renewal

Unless canceled, subscriptions renew automatically. Billing timing and renewal mechanics are controlled by Apple.

Trials and promotions

If a plan includes a free trial or introductory period, the paid subscription begins after the trial or promotional period unless you cancel according to Apple rules.

Cancellation and refunds

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple policies — we cannot issue App Store payment refunds directly.

Subscription scope

The exact subscription options (for example monthly vs. annual billing), included access scope, and any trial or promotional terms are described in-app on the paywall and product selection screens at the time of purchase. Unless explicitly stated in-app, different subscription options provide the same Sociano access scope and differ mainly by billing period. Plan availability and pricing may change in the future to the extent allowed by applicable law and platform rules.

Account linking for paid access

If you purchase or restore Sociano Pro while signed out, you must sign in with an account in-app immediately after purchase to link the entitlement to your account, enable cross-device access, and manage paid access state.

Referral rewards program

Sociano may offer a referral program that grants temporary free access to Sociano Pro features (“reward access”) when you share your referral code or redeem another user’s code.

  • Reward details, such as the number of reward days and qualification conditions, are described in-app and may change over time.
  • Reward access is promotional. It has no monetary value, cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash, and does not renew automatically.
  • Reward access is granted by us directly and is not an Apple subscription. Apple billing, renewal, and refund rules do not apply to reward access.
  • Reward access may extend access after an active paid subscription period instead of replacing that paid subscription period.
  • A Sociano account is required to participate. Each account may redeem only one referral code, and you cannot redeem your own code.
  • A referral code may be entered during onboarding before purchase or, if you have not already entered one, in the one-time referral prompt shown immediately after your first Sociano Pro subscription purchase. If you apply or skip that post-purchase prompt, the opportunity to add a referral code is consumed.
  • Referrer rewards require a qualified paid conversion by the referred user. Trials, unpaid access, failed purchases, or subscriptions that never convert to a paid period do not qualify.
  • If the referred user’s paid purchase is refunded, charged back, reversed, or otherwise not valid during our qualification review period, the referral may be disqualified. A normal cancellation after the referred user has entered a paid period does not by itself disqualify the referral.
  • We may modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time, and we may withhold or revoke reward access obtained through fraud, abuse, technical manipulation, or violation of these Terms, including self-referral, duplicate or fake accounts, automated redemption, refund abuse, or attempts to bypass referral timing limits, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Your responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • use Sociano for unlawful purposes,
  • interfere with service security or integrity,
  • reverse engineer or attempt unauthorized access except as permitted by law,
  • misuse automation or scripts to disrupt the app or related infrastructure,
  • manipulate or abuse referral or promotional reward programs.

Your use of Sociano is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Sociano uses telemetry tools (including Sentry and PostHog) for reliability, diagnostics, and product improvement, as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Sociano may link to or load third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, or practices — your interactions with third parties are solely between you and those providers.

Availability

  • Sociano is provided on an “as available” basis.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
  • We may release updates required for security, compliance, or functionality.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the service, or where needed for legal or security reasons. You may stop using Sociano at any time and may request account deletion in-app. Sections that reasonably should survive termination remain in effect (for example limitations of liability, dispute provisions, and legal compliance obligations).

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sociano is provided without warranties of any kind (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims related to Sociano is limited to the greater of:

  • the amounts you paid for Sociano Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or
  • EUR 50.

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by mandatory law (including applicable consumer protection law).

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example major network outages, infrastructure failures, governmental actions, natural disasters, or labor disruptions).

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected. If you are a consumer, you may have additional non-waivable rights under applicable law — these Terms do not limit such rights.

Before formal proceedings, please contact us at contact@sociano.app so we can try to resolve the issue. If you are a consumer, you may also use out-of-court consumer dispute resolution where available, including through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI) or your local competent ADR body.

Court jurisdiction applies according to mandatory consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring claims in courts that are competent under applicable law.

Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time and will update the date above when we do. Continued use of Sociano after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms, unless applicable law requires a different process.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us regarding Sociano, except where applicable law or platform terms require otherwise.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent, except where prohibited by law. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets.
